Older house? Start with the switchboard.

Plenty of houses in the north still run on their original switchboard, with ceramic fuses and no safety switches. That doesn't always mean a full replacement.

A switchboard check covers:

  • The switchboard, fuses and main switch
  • Safety switches, and what they cover
  • Smoke alarms: age, type and placement
  • Wiring we can see in the roof and under the floor
  • Earthing, and anything showing heat damage

You get a written list of what needs doing now, what can wait, and a fixed price for each.

Sparks or smoke? Switch off first.

A hot smell, a buzzing switchboard or a powerpoint that's scorched: treat it as urgent. If we can't get there quickly, we'll tell you who can.

  1. Turn off the main switch at the switchboard, if you can reach it safely.
  2. Keep everyone clear, and don't touch anything that's sparking or hot.
  3. Call us0491 570 157

A fire, or someone's had a shock? Call 000 first.

You book. We sign it off.

The same four steps for every job, from one new powerpoint to a whole switchboard.

  1. Ask for a quote

Pick the job, your suburb and a time that suits. A photo of the switchboard or the spot helps us plan.

  2. A fixed price

Small jobs are priced from photos, bigger ones after a short visit. Always in writing, before we start.

  3. The work

A two-hour arrival window, a text when we are on the way, and drop sheets down before the tools come out.

  4. Tested and certified

Everything we touch is tested, and your Certificate of Electrical Safety is emailed the same week.

Can't see yours? Call 0491 570 157, or ask when you book.

Do you give fixed prices?

Yes. Small jobs can often be priced from photos. Bigger jobs get a short visit and a written, fixed quote before any work starts.

Which suburbs do you cover?

Melbourne's north, from Brunswick East and Northcote up to Reservoir and Bundoora, and across to Coburg, Ivanhoe and Heidelberg. If you're just outside, ask.

How soon can you come?

Most bookings are seen within a few days. If something is unsafe, like a burning smell or sparks, call us: if we can't come quickly, we'll tell you who can.

Do I need to be home?

For most jobs, someone needs to let us in and we like to walk through the job with you at the start and the end.

Will I get a certificate?

Yes, where the work needs one. In Victoria, most electrical work comes with a Certificate of Electrical Safety, and we email yours the same week.

What if something goes wrong after you leave?

Call us. If it's our workmanship and within 12 months, we come back and fix it at no charge. That's on top of your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Describe the job. Get a fixed price.
