Why we started Tallowood.
We started Tallowood to do home electrical work the way we'd want it done in our own houses: a clear price before we start, a text before we arrive, and a tidy job at the end.
We work in Melbourne's north because we live here. Most of the houses we see are older, from Victorian cottages in Northcote to post-war brick veneers in Reservoir, and they reward a careful look at the switchboard and wiring more than a rushed one.
We only do homes. No big commercial jobs, so your booking never gets bumped for a bigger one.

You get a fixed price in writing before we start. If we find something unexpected, we stop and talk to you before doing anything extra.
Older homes, done carefully
Most of our work is in older houses. We take the time to check what's behind the walls, and we'd rather tell you something can wait than sell you work you don't need.
On time and tidy
A two-hour arrival window, a text when we are on the way, drop sheets down and the dust vacuumed up when we leave.
